SilkPeel Dermalinfusion is a dynamic new procedure that provides simultaneous non-invasive exfoliation together with evacuation and the delivery of skin-specific topical solutions under pressure to treat a variety of skin conditions.

The system’s diamond tip wand exfoliates damaged skin evenly abrading only the top layers in order to deliver targeted formulations to the dermis.

·         Vitamin C Solution – Sun, stress and pollution can damage the skin at any age.   The potent anti-oxidant formula of the Vitamin C Solution will brighten, exfoliate and infuse the skin with an arsenal of targeted antioxidants to help against free radical damage.   This unique formulation contains tocopheryl acetate to clarify, aloe to hydrate, sodium ascorbyl phosphate to brighten and allantoin and dipotassium to soothe.

·         Clarifying Formula – To provide relief for the most sensitive, acne prone skin.   This formulation will assist in promoting a clear complexion and improving the appearance of cystic and pustule acne.   Salicylic acid promotes cell turnover, unclogs pores to give a clearer skin and aloe soothes while the SilkPeel  Dermalinfusion system evenly exfoliates and smoothes texture.

·         Lumixyl Solution can be used as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with laser or other light procedures for treatment of pigmentation.   It improves the appearance of discolouration to achieve a more even tone.   Lumixyl contains a powerful peptide which can be used continuously for a brighter complexion and the naturally occurring amino acids help diminish dark spots caused by age and photodamage.   Lumixyl leaves the skin feeling fresh, healthy and luminous.

The SilkPeel system was evaluated in a study conducted in California to assess the treatment of rosacea.

Dermabrasion is not usually considered as a treatment option as deep penetration can worsen the clinical outcome.

30 patients with erythematotelangiectatic and papulopustular rosacea were treated bimonthly for 12 weeks using the SilkPeel system and solution of 2% erythromycin to decrease existing and potential inflammation and 2% salicylic acid to further aid exfoliation.

Significant clinical reductions in erythema, papules and pustules were seen as early as week 4 for all patients. It was noted that the SilkPeel system abrades to a depth of 20-35 µm and does not cause intense erythema, inflammation, granuloma formation, hypopigmentation, postinflammatory hyperpigmentation and the potential for vesiculation like traditional microabrasion. ³

The SkinPeel system features a patented handpiece design and dual digital LED display for precise vacuum and flow settings with a combination of medical grade diamond treatment heads and handpiece tip sizes for optimal treatment. The range of topical formulations can be used individually or in combination to customize effective treatments for the patients’ individual needs.
