Skin needling, percutaneous collagen induction (PCI), collagen induction therapy (CIT), dry tattooing, needle dermabrasion, intradermabrasion, dermal remodelling and multitrepannic collagen actuation (MCA) are all names for the same treatment.
 

Skin needling is a procedure that involves using a sterile roller comprised of a series of fine, sharp needles to puncture the skin. Performed under local anaesthetic with sedation in an aesthetic medical clinic, the device is rolled over the surface to create many microscopic channels deep into the dermis of the skin, which is stimulated to produce new collagen. Skin needling is a procedure that ensures better results when associated with “Skin Peeling” using the DermaFix Progressive Peel, a 3 or 4-stage peeling system.  Mandelic Acid(AHA) in various strengths are also effective skin peeling systems used in combination with skin needling and show the best combination modality for the 2015 “Fix”.

DermaFix Progressive Peeling 3 or 4 stage peeling system will suitably prepare the surface of the skin for needling and maximise the results. Immediately post needling procedure DermaFix ACC Copper, offering anti- bacterial properties, or ACC Hyaluronic Gel may be applied to soothe the area.

Vitamin A is utterly essential for the normal physiology of skin, and yet it is destroyed by exposure to light which prevents it from exerting its important influence on skin and preserving collagen. Counteract this loss with nightly topical application of MD Prescriptives Vitamin A Propionate to stimulate cell growth with the release of growth factors, improve on angiogenesis and promote the production of new collagen. DermaFix Vitamin C Serum is similarly important for collagen formation. Both of these vitamins need to be replaced every day so that the natural protection and repair of DNA can be maintained.
