Strengthen your hair with Dr. Miracle’s before and after weaving
Thinking of putting in a weave? Make sure your own natural hair is properly prepared before putting in any kind of hair extension. The Dr. Miracle’s range offers a wide variety of hair care products specifically for ethnic and multicultural hair that are designed to help you achieve healthy natural hair before and after weaving.
The secret lies in the exclusive Thermalceutical™ Complex ingredient that is unique to the Dr. Miracle’s range. Formulated to stimulate the circulation of blood to the root of the hair by supplying rich moisturisers and conditioners to the scalp, the Thermalceutical™ Complex goes beyond the evolution of hair repair, working with vitamins and natural conditioning ingredients such as Shea butter, aloe, coconut, jojoba and olive oils work together to promote the best healthy scalp and hair.
Follow the Dr. Miracle’s simple four-step process for stronger, healthier hair throughout the weaving process:
1. Take care of pre-existing hair problems:
You want your hair to be in the best possible shape before weaving. If you have dandruff, try the Dr. Miracle’s Tingling 2in1 Dandruff Shampoo & Conditioner (R96.99, 180ml), which gets rid of your flaky scalp but also supports strong hair growth, and a healthy scalp. If your hair feels weak, strengthen it with the Dr. Miracle’s Anti-Breakage Strengthening Crème (R69.99, 120ml), which works deep into the scalp in order to moisturise and condition. Try to deal with issues at least two weeks before you weave for optimum results. This includes trimming your hair if necessary to remove unwanted, unhealthy split ends.
2. Give your scalp a good scrub: Remember, this will be the last time you have access to your natural hair for several weeks. Be sure to give your scalp a good scrub with the Dr. Miracle’s Conditioning Shampoo (R82.99, 355ml) to remove any residue. Condition afterwards to add moisture and much-needed protein back into your hair.
3. Deep condition: Add extra strength and moisture to your hair before you weave it. This final conditioning step will also spend the most time in your hair, so use it to add any extra ingredients that could benefit your locks. You could also opt for a leave-in treatment - the Dr. Miracle’s Leave In Conditioner (R82.99, 180ml), blended with vitamins A, C and E to ensure stronger, softer and more manageable hair.
4. Moisturise and seal: Your natural hair often loses moisture during the weaving process. Apply the Dr. Miracles Follicle Healer Hydrating Oil (R59.99, 60ml) to your scalp to nourish your hair continuously. This product is fortified with tea tree, jojoba and castor oils, leaving your hair stronger and minimising breakage when removing your weave.
Don’t forget to look after your scalp and natural hair while wearing a weave by ensuring your scalp is moisturised. Try the Dr. Miracles Moisturizing Gro Oil (R79.99, 120ml), which has a nozzle for easy application.
Remember to give your hair a break in-between weaves to prevent mechanical damage and hair loss and promote a healthy scalp and gorgeous hair.
