HyaIuronic acid (or Sodium Hyaluronate) is glycosaminoglycan, which is a substance attached to collagen, elastin and distributed widely throughout connective, epithelial, and neural tissues. On average human body contains 0.02% of hyaluronic acid.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) performs many important functions. It helps deliver nutrients to and carry toxins from cells that do not have a blood supply. It keeps joints lubricated. HA also encourages water retention in other bodily tissues. HA is one of the most hydrophilic (water- loving) molecules in nature dubbed as nature’s moisturiser. HA also allow s skin to become smoother and more radiant.
Hyaluronic acid is very big molecule and cannot penetrate into skin. Traditional esthetic instruments such as ultrasonic galvanic, Hifi Electric stimulation etc. can help very little with its penetration. In medical field hyaluronic acid is injected into skin to fill wrinkles but it is not permanent (break down and absorbed by body in 6- 9 months). However, mesotherapy or micro -needling makes pretty big channels on the skin so that the penetration of hyaluronic acid becomes realistic and meaningful. Rejuvi Hyaluronic Acid Serum with high concentration is developed for this application.
