Johannesburg salons and spas were introduced to Anesi’s latest innovation, Lab Institute Cellular 3, at an event held in Johannesburg on 23 May and hosted by Exclusive Beauty Solutions (EBS).
Anesi’s export and marketing manager, Esther Mendez, emphasised that Cellular 3, an intensive anti-ageing treatment, marks a new direction for Anesi’s holding company, DRV-Phytolab, being the first range from the group’s new cosmeceutical brand, Anesi Lab Institute.
“It is very important for us to understand global industry trends and the needs of the market,” said Mendez. “DRV-Phytolab uses the highest levels of active ingredients possible and has more than 45 years of experience in the market. We do everything in-house, namely research & development, formulations, manufacturing and packaging.”
DRV-Phytolab’s technical advisor, Patricia Jurado, noted that Cellular 3 had been a long time in development. “We work with bio-technological ingredients that have a high concentration of actives. Our latest active ingredients generate results in only five minutes, such as our Eye Contour Treatment, for example.
“There is a difference between natural products and biotechnological products. If you want natural products, they will be beneficial for the skin. However, if you want to fight ageing, you need something stronger.”
Jurado explained that Cellular 3 responds in an effective, visible and long-lasting way to the three scientifically proven causes of skin ageing namely glycation, oxidative stress and DNA damage. “Cellular 3 effectively acts on wrinkles, fades spots, illuminates the complexion, firms tissue, redraws the facial oval and refines skin texture to recuperate a youthful appearance.”
The active ingredients found in Celluar 3 are Malt Secret (a super anti-oxidant made of 100% pure polyphenols extracted using biotechnology from malt extract); 3GF Cellular Booster (an exclusive combination of growth factors with a very high purity level); and Progeline (a biomimetic tripeptide derived from Elafin).
Cellular 3 is ideal for treating all the symptoms of skin ageing – wrinkles, lack of tone, blemishes uneven texture, dullness and sensitivity.
According to Jurado, Celluar 3 tests carried out by Anesi Lab Institute on volunteers showed that 80% noticed a significant improvement, where 93% perceived more elasticity and 82% felt the skin was firmer.
