Pyramid Day Spa & Beauty School offer full time courses where students can gain on site practical experience in a functional day spa facility. Full time courses available International examination fees, uniform & towels are not included in any of the course pricing.

80646 - Further Education & Training Certificate: Beauty and Nail Technology (NQF Level 4) Purpose to develop the self-directed skills and knowledge of those employed in the beauty industry as nail technologists, beauticians or make-up artists.Designed for people who wish to extend their range of skills and knowledge of the industry and those wishing to follow a career in the beauty industry.
Aimed at developing the necessary task skills, task management skills and job/role management skills of those working or intending to work in the beauty industry. Learners will be able to integrate the generic salon requisite skills, knowledge, values and attitudes with those specific to the beauty industry, ensuring the business in which they operate runs smoothly and offers excellent customer service according to industry standards. Qualification is awarded to people who have demonstrated the relevant skills and knowledge required to perform a range of beauty services at a basic level within the salon environment. It will lead to entrepreneurial opportunities for learners already operating or joining this profession and enhance the self-image of each individual learner as he/she becomes more professional. Holders of this qualification are able to conduct the prescribed beauty service in a professional manner, and maintain service excellence in all their operations.

Beauty Technology Certificate: R37 800  - 1 Year Fees include kit, learning material, uniform and towels. Deposit: R6 000 on of before day of registration (25 Jane 2015). The balance of R31 800 is to be paid by the 1st of each month for 10 months at R31 80 from 1 February 2015 to 1 November 2015. Duration: 1 year - 4 February 2015 Monday to Friday - 08h30 – 15h30. School closes at 16h00. 58310 – National Diploma: Health and Skincare (NQF Level 5)
Enables the qualifying learner to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team as a multi-skilled health and skincare practitioner. Learner will be skilled in visual, tactile, verbal and assessment skills to ascertain the client’s body and integumentary needs, in order to analyse the client’s state of health, and formulate a specific regime or protocol for the treatment, prevention and/or maintenance of wellbeing for the client. Learners accredited with this qualification will be able to:
~ Apply communication skills to provide effective treatments.   ~ Demonstrate applied knowledge of microbiology, anatomy,      physiology, physics, chemistry and psychosocial sciences.   ~ Plan, implement and evaluate treatments based on a      holistic assessment of the client.   ~ Participate in the promotion of holistic health care.   ~ Maintain professionalism in health and skincare practice.   ~ Participate / manage a health & skincare establishment.
Entry Requirements: Mathematical literacy at NQF Level 4; Communication skills at NQF Level 4 US 114801: Demonstrate an understanding of the structure, growth and disorders of the skin, nails and hair; US 115172: Prepare and perform a basic facial; US 115071: Prepare and perform a relaxing face and décolleté massage; US 115070: Demonstrate and apply the knowledge of basic application of special make-up techniques.   Qualification may be achieved wholly or in part through recognition of prior learning, in terms of compliance with the competencies indicated in the defined exit level outcomes of the qualification. Evidence may be presented in various ways, including verified previous qualifications, testimonials, work records, portfolios, videos of practice and performance records.   Learner accessing this qualification should be in possession of a National Senior Certificate, FETC, National Certificate Vocational Level 4 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
Health & Skincare Diploma: R105 000 - 3 Years Fees include kit, learning material, uniform and towels. Year 1: R6 000 on or before day of registration (25 January 2015). R31 800 is to be paid by the 1st of each month for 10 months at R3180 from 1 February 2015 to 1 Nov 2015. Year 2: R6 000 on or before day of registration (25 January 2016). R31 800 is to be paid by the 1st of each month for 10 months at R3180 from 1 February 2016 to 1 Nov 2016. Year 3: R6 000 on or before day of registration (25 January 2017x). R23 400 is to be paid by the 1st of each month for 10 months at R2340 from 1 February 2017 to 1 Nov 2017. Duration: 3 years - 4 February 2015 Monday to Friday - 08h30 – 15h30. School closes at 16h00.
